Now the journey seems more "OFFICIAL"

So seminar day finally came yesterday. I was so excited as to me this made my start to my journey more "official". Honestly I didn't learn much from it as I have been doing my research on my own for the past few months. I learned that my surgeon's bariatrics program is a center of excellence for a few insurance companies - which translates to he accepts their insurance at the price they are willing to pay LOL! 

I also learned that even though my insurance (tricare) pays for everything we still have to come out of pocket for the program fee ($275) and THEIR psychiatrist fee is ($350). Okay I'm lying.. I didn't learn that last night either, I had already had a heads-up about that too. (THANKS TRICIA!!!) I need to call them and ask if we have to use their psychiatrist as one IN-NETWORK would be free. It's definitely worth asking.

After the seminar was the support group meeting. Last night's topic was how to stop regain. Again, I've learned so much online from people that have are fighting the regain battle everyday that I didn't learn anything new their either. Actually now that I think about it the topic was regain but they ended up talking about breaking a stall.... hmmm I wonder if she realizes that .

All in all it was still worth my time AND drive (about 50 mins away from where I live). Now I have to wait to get my appointment to see the surgeon.

*sighs* Hurry up and wait.. the story of my life as a military wife .
